From the Editorial Co-Directors

Dear Colleagues,

The month of April, with all its capriciousness, has arrived. In some areas of the United States, the weather is warming up and the landscape is blooming with new springtime growth, whereas in other areas, the cold air lingers and the snow keeps falling!

Our NP practices settings are just as diverse as the weather across the country. We at The American Journal for Nurse Practitioners try to meet the needs of all our readers, whether you are in clinical practice or in education, whether you work in a rural setting, in a suburb, or in a city large or small. We also aim to publish a varied assortment of articles: first and foremost, articles from our readers who are clinicians, but also well-written student papers with strong faculty input, articles explicating DNP clinical projects, evidence-based syntheses of clinical topics, current management strategies based on current guidelines, interesting and informative case reports, and discussions of advanced practice nursing concerns.

This April 2011 issue offers articles and columns that span the practice arena to include clinical management, pharmacotherapeutics, APRN regulation, and recognition of our leaders.
